Rajkahini is an Indian Bengali 2015 feature film starring Rituparna Sengupta, Jisshu Sengupta, Saswata Chatterjee, Abir Chatterjee, Koushik Sen, Sudipta Chakraborty, Joya Ahsan in the lead roles. In english the title of the film Ralkahini means “Tale of Kings”. Movie is directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Shree Venkatesh Films. Story of the film is written by the director of the film “Srijit Mukherji”. Music is composed by Indraadip Das Gupta while Avik Mukhopadhyay is the cinematographer of the film. Movie editing work is done by Srijit Mukherji and Pranoy Dasgupta. Movie running time is of 160 minutes and is releasing on 16 October 2015 in Bengali language in India.

The story of the film is from time when Bristish government passed bill for the seperation of Bengal in year 1947. So the movie is all about the seperation of Bengal. Bengal was seperated twice once in 1905 and another time in 1947. Reasons were given behind the seperation was demographic reasons and for ease of administration but the reality behind it was very different from what happens. Movie also mentioned Radcliffe line in it.
